Overall wellbeing & how to make it happen
I caught up with Andrew Dickens on NewstalkZB’s Health Hub to talk about living a longer and healthier life.
As I explained, food and exercise are very important but we also need to consider other factors. Sleep holds our health together and often comes first for me in the whole equation of wellbeing. If you don’t sleep well, it is very difficult to eat well and to be motivated to exercise. If you don’t sleep well, it’s harder to manage your stress which makes life more challenging.
Most people know what they need to do - such as eat more veggies, drink less alcohol, eat less processed food - but how to make it happen is what is really important.
I hope to bring practical and realistic advice that actually works. This is what my latest book End Your Fight with Food, and also my wellbeing planner It’s a Beautiful Day, have been created for.
Take a listen to our chat - we talk to callers about barriers they face when it comes to managing health and nutrition and share ideas on how to help overcome these.
